Biomedical Sensors
Our ability to fabricate devices on the scale of biological structures and processes opens up a new world of opportunities for interdisciplinary research and biomedical technology. We have developed implantable glucose and ion sensors at microscale (100um) towards scalable fabrication of integrated sensor-on-CMOS devices. This works has represented a new era of personalized medicine, where instant diagnosis and individualized drug administration become possible with continuous blood monitoring. We are interested in innovating the construction of micro and nanosensors for biomedical applications, our goal is to develope fast response, accurate, low-cost, and long lasting sensing platfoms in order to provide widely available disease diagnostics to developing nations, targeting areas where proper facilities and trained personel might not otherwise be accessible.
